Rugby and JB's Birthday!

Every May Tokushima plays host to an annual touch rugby tournament, put on by AJET in conjunction with the Touch Association.  Teams from Tokushima compete against representatives from Kagawa, Nara, Hiroshima, Tokyo and beyond in a two-day round robin event.  And while the rugby itself is fun, the highlight of the weekend is most definitely the BBQ party on Saturday night, where we all come together to feast like kings, drink and mingle.

The rugby tournament also happened to fall on John's birthday weekend so along with playing a few games for his Kagawa-side, we also got to celebrate with homemade apple pie and DOZENS of people singing happy birthday.  Of course, it fluctuated wildly from searing heat to bucketing down with rain and we all went home feeling a little worse for wear (and not having won many games either) but it was an awesome action-packed weekend to remember!
